RSM’s Embossed Alligator Leather range combines the visual richness of exotic leather textures with the practicality and versatility of premium calf leather. Sourced from a tannery in Shimeji City, Japan, each strap reflects generations of leather-processing tradition and meticulous Japanese craftsmanship, resulting in remarkably natural grain definition and an alluring tactile texture.
Each hide is painstakingly hand-finished to allow dyes to seep naturally into the grooves and contours of the embossed patterns, creating depth, tonal variation, and a more organic appearance. Unlike flat surface finishes, the multi-layered dyeing process enhances the relief of the grain, giving the leather a refined character that evolves beautifully with wear.
This range uses a particularly thin wrap around the spring bar to enable fitting onto dress and vintage watches with tight lug spaces. We also cater for classic timepieces with narrower lug widths, including 17.5mm configurations such as the Cartier Tank Vermeil and other heritage references that require precise fitment without compromising comfort or proportion.
The collection is offered in distinct grain profiles to complement different watch aesthetics. The rectangular grains bring a sharper, more architectural texture suited for modern luxury aesthetics.
